A Photography Lovers Dream

This is a photography journal that will capture my many adventures across Europe. It is my hope that these photographs will capture my viewers to the extent that they feel as though they are engulfed in the photographs with me along my journey.

"My new home away from home"

I cannot believe that I have been living in Florence for 5 weeks now! It seems that the days as well as the weeks are moving by so fast. Where I was once getting lost I can now lead others to these places as if I have been living here for years. That's not to say I never get lost though, because I certainly do! But they say getting lost is the best thing you can do here, because there are so many little gems that can be found along your journey. Each day I try to spend at least 2-3 hours of my day getting lost, trying to find new places, and just enjoying the outdoors. Being a photography addict there is always something catching my eye that I had never noticed before, so most of my day is spent with my camera in my hands. I have to say that Florence has become my new home away from home. Although there are the days that I wish I were back home with family, or at school with friends, I have come to love this city. I have met numerous people from across America, Taiwan, Venezuala.. you name it. It has been such an amazing experience to learn about other cultures, and most importantly the Italian culture. The best part about it is their appreciation of wine, and of course food! Meals and drinking is much different here than back home, for people do not drink to get drunk, nor do they eat until they are about to explode. Rather, people sit down in large groups and enjoy a glass of wine, as well as a huge homemade meal, which usually lasts for about two hours. I could speak about all of the delicious food I have had here, but I'll save that for another time! Keep checking back for more updates!

Ciao!
