  • made local friends!

  • Visited Barce's aquarium

  • Visited La Sagrada Familia and took the tour

I haven't blogged in awhile but there's so much to talk about!

School is going well, although it seems like I barely have class. I think all but one week since I started school I’ve had a day off during the week for a holiday. And that means only three days of school a week since normally I only have school four days a week :D I still feel like I'm on summer vacation but I’m not forgetting why I’m here :) para estudiar! Interestingly enough there was a public transportation strike last Monday and I didn't make it to my first class because the metro was only running 20% of the time..but I did make it to my last class. Not sure if I already mentioned this in any of the other blogs but Catalonia, which is where I live, wants to be independent from Spain and that’s why there was a strike.

Kelsey and I visited La Sagrada Familia again and took the tour, and it was absolutely beautiful just like everything else by Gaudi. The inside of La Sagrada Familia is unbelievable but the pictures that I took didn't turn out very's literally too beautiful to capture. We also went all the way up to the top as you will see in the pictures. It was extremely scary and we had to walk all the way back down on the tiniest staircase you've ever seen (I posted pictures of that too).

We went to the aquarium but we both agreed that our aquariums back home are way's hard to top the Shedd. BUT I did find out that I can dive with sharks at the aquarium in Barcelona and I think that would be the coolest experience ever since I'm OBSESSED with I've been giving it have my own shark week :) muahahah

hmm..what else is new and exciting...I’ve made some local friends so I’m really excited about that. I want to be fluent so badly it hurts sometimes. I’m starting to do everything I can to achieve that goal. I started reading a novel in Spanish and it's really fantastic. It's a translation from English but I understand 96% of it and you have to start somewhere, right? hmm what else..Oh, my iPhone got stolen. It was a sad sad day but I should have known better. The first time that I don't guard my backpack with my life something gets stolen..

So those are some exciting things that I have done over the past week or so. I'm frustrated now that I can't remember anything else. But things are going great all in all..I absolutely love it here and I've decided that I’m going to do my masters here. I hate thinking about the fact that I have to come home and finish my senior year. I feel so at home here, and I never want to leave (how horrible of me to say to all of you, I know).

Miss you all tons! If you would like a postcard, send me an e-mail with where you want it sent.

Besos, Kimberly
